Art boxes
Art Boxes are suitcases with contents that originate from the exhibitions. Each case contains a workbook detailing the approach, a picture game and a set of philosophical questions, together with a few objects related to the theme. Teachers and community workers can use the Art Boxes to help children experience the specific Rasa approach. Currently, five boxes are available in South Africa, in English and Afrikaans. They are given to the teachers after training.
CONNECTION
Everything in life is connected in a continuous loop. With this project we explore our relationship to nature. What is nature? Can plants feel? Can a tree be your friend?
SKIN
Your skin is an antenna that can send and receive. It envelops and protects you like a coat. Can you live without touch? And what does your skin tell about you?
HAIR
Your hair is a sense organ. It also defines who you are. People have a special relationship with their hair, which can be very different from one culture to another.
ME-YOU-US
In this project, we look for all the influences that help form our identity. These could be our origin, our faith, our cultural background. How do you mirror yourself in the other? How important is your group to you?
BEAUTY
Does beauty have an important place in your life? Is there such a thing as universal beauty, or does everyone have different tastes? Can animals know what is beautiful?
